The Wedding Singer is showing July 27-31! We reached out to Ethan Weber, to find out more about him and what working on this fun production has been like!
What is your favorite song in this show and why?
I’d have to say all about the green, it’s such a long but fun song to do with the cast, and the dancing in it is challenging but rewarding to pull off.
What have you loved so far about working with SART?
I’d say the aspect of just getting to learn more about professional theatre as a whole. Getting more experience in singing and acting is an opportunity I really appreciate.
Tell us about your character. What’s your favorite thing about them? What do you love about getting to portray them?
As an ensemble member, there are many different roles I have to play in the show from drunk brother to a waiter who gets married, I love getting to portray such a large variety of characters on stage all in one show.
How did you get into theatre?
I started theatre in high school when my theatre teacher asked me to audition, and ended up being Troy for high school musical.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the area?
Favorite thing to do in the area would have to be go to the park to play basketball or go to Rios Mexican restaurant.
What about this production are you the most excited about?
The dance numbers and getting to share this hilarious and amazing show with others.
What’s your favorite part about performing?
The people you meet not only from being cast mates, but the audience members that come to see the show.

Biography
Ethan Weber is an up-and-coming actor and hopes to make a career out of this. Ethan is from Greenville South Carolina. You may have seen him in productions such as Side by Side, Clybourne Park, or Cinderella. Ethan is currently a junior at Mars Hill University and is majoring in Theater Arts. Ethan Would like to thank his parents for the great amount of support they continue to give him. After graduating Ethan plans to pursue a career in film or stage acting.
