Appalachian Heartstrings are an old time string band from Madison County, NC. Since 2019, they have performed and competed all over Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. The band's predominantly female harmonies and modern folk influences give a fresh spin to the old time genre. The Heartstrings’ members include Iris Owen (guitar and lead vocals), Lennon White (bass and vocals), Abigail Winters (fiddle and lead vocals) and sisters Lydia (banjo and lead vocals) and Madelyn Wood (fiddle and vocals).
