The Wedding Singer is showing July 27-31! We reached out to Kendall Paige Parrett, to find out more about her and what working on this fun production has been like!
What is your favorite song in this show and why?
Saturday Night in the City- it’s such a fun, energetic number including the whole cast! Not to mention a fun surprise at the end!
What have you loved so far about working with SART?
The people! Everyone is so kind and encouraging, we lift each other up and that’s so so important.
Tell us about your character. What’s your favorite thing about them? What do you love about getting to portray them?
My character is Holly, she is SO fun to play. She’s bubbly and silly and just lives her best life. I’ve never gotten to play a role like her before and I’m constantly having a blast on stage!
How did you get into theatre?
I’ve been performing since I was 4 years old! It’s basically all I know, and it makes me so incredibly happy. I love bringing joy and laughter to an audience, it’s the most fulfilling job.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the area?
Shop. I love shopping. (Downtown Asheville specifically)
What about this production are you the most excited about?
The energy we all create on stage. This show is so much fun and you can really tell we enjoy being up there!
What’s your favorite part about performing?
Seeing the audience's reactions is always so fun, also singing my face off is quite fun too!

Biography
Kendall is a musical theatre performer all the way from the Emerald Coast of Pensacola Beach, Florida! She has been performing regionally since she was 4 years old. Her favorite credits include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Julia in The Wedding Singer, Inga in Young Frankenstein, and Judy in White Christmas! She is thrilled to be making her SART debut in one of her favorite shows!
Kendall was last seen as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes at The Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre in the spring. She would like to thank her family and friends for the endless support as well as the SART cast and crew for all of their hard work this summer.
