Please provide the following information to the financial institution that holds your IRA:

In many cases, individuals will have an IRA checkbook, in which case you can simply write your own check payable to Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre from your IRA checkbook. Mail your check to the address above.

It is helpful to let us know when you have made an IRA gift, by emailing us at the contact info above.

Important Note: If you are now aged 72 (as of Dec. 31, 2022), your gift can count toward your annual required minimum distribution (RMD) and not as income for tax purposes. For your gift to count towards your RMD in a year, please be sure that it arrives at SART by December 15, giving enough time for the check to be deposited and processed by the bank

You may distribute up to $100,000 in a calendar year to SART and any other charities, completed by December 31 of the year in which you intend to make the charitable distribution.

You can also help support the future of the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, by designating SART as a beneficiary of your IRA to receive some portion of the funds remaining at your passing.  The financial institution holding your IRA should also have a simple form you can complete for this transaction.

Please let us know if decide to include SART as a beneficiary of your IRA. We would appreciate the opportunity to honor your commitment!
